Baton Rouge cosmetic facial surgeon, Dr. James LaNasa Jr., limits his cosmetic surgery to the face and neck region. Procedures performed include the latest cosmetic surgical techniques to correct the effects of aging as well as both primary and revision surgery of the nose. These nasal procedures may include simultaneous sinus surgery when indicated. Cosmetic surgical approaches for the effects of aging upon our faces consist of a variety of forehead (brow) lifts, blepharoplasty (eyelids procedures), and the newer deep plane face lift. These newer techniques in face lifting provide for the first time, excellent correction of the mid face (cheek-lip) fold. These procedures also provide for correction of the typical jawline and neck changes. The “modern” innovative lower eyelid operation adds the safer transconjunctival approach (through the inside of the lower lid) to prevent shortening and rounding of the lower lid too often seen in the old technique, exemplified by Al Pacino and Kenny Rogers!
These cosmetic operations are performed on an outpatient basis at the modern Our Lady of the Lake Surgery Center on Perkins Road. However, should an overnight stay become necessary, beds are available at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center a few blocks away.
Postoperative recovery varies from a few days to a week and a half depending upon the procedures chosen. While swelling and bruising depend upon the individual patient, skin type, and other uncontrollable variables, pain from carefully executed techniques is usually minimal. This discomfort is not related to the number of procedures performed. Further details, fees, and scheduling are addressed during your consultation with Dr. LaNasa.
